Preggy Update (Halfway Mark)

Preggy update #7

How far along? 20 weeks today - HALFWAY!

Total weight gain? Loss of 200g

Maternity Clothes? Nope but did buy some new "normal" clothes in a bigger size

Stretch Marks?  Still no new ones yet

Sleep: Sleeping well. Don't want to jinx it but I haven't yet woken up in the middle of the night to go wee. (And now, just because I did that, it's going to start tonight)

Best moment this week: Always feeling this baby move about and Matthew being extra loving lately

Worst moment this week: DH and I are fighting (not literally lol). It's too complicated to get into but it's stressing me out and causing lots of tension. But we will get through this and work it out.

Miss Anything? My husband - he's just working too much

Movement: Yip, lots of flutters and but no definite movement felt yet

Food cravings: Nothing really. Cravings seem to have gone.

Anything making you queasy or sick: Nope. I can go most days without a touch of nausea

Gender: We found out it's a boy. But we are struggling to badly with a name.

Labor Signs: Nope, not yet

Symptoms:  Still have the tummy cramps, headaches, bleeding gums, back ache now and again, blocked/stuffy nose

Belly Button in or out?  Staring to come out

Wedding rings on or off? Still on

Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy

What I'm looking forward to: My next appointment (17 April) foetal anomaly scan

What I'm nervous about: Not feeling baby boy move around is causing some stress most days. Then I think of all the things that could go wrong, and what if's and so on. But then he will somehow kinda feel my stress and move just a little bit as if to say "Hey Mom, stop stressing, I'm ok in here!"

Baby Name? Can't come up with a name we both like. DH isn't being too helpful either. I like a certain name and would like to add DH's brother's name as his second name but I'm not sure if I should even mention it.

Movement? Yip

Thoughts: I can't believe we're halfway through already. I am loving being pregnant! I am not taking as much notice of this baby as I did when I was pregnant with Matthew, but I think that's normal for subsequent pregnancies.

  1. Can't believe you're halfway Kim! You're right, first pregnancy does get a lot more thought than next pregnancies, but it's definitely normal.
Sorry about your hubby working so hard, and sorry about name struggles! It'll fall into place soon, I'm sure.
    xx

    1. Thanks for the reply Jess. It will fall into place I know but the stress in the meantime is crazy. :)
